I found a hidden note!

April 20, 2012 by Erin Heaton

I cannot believe I forgot to include this in my post about our bedroom’s repainted register. (Well, yes I can. I’ve been forgetting everything lately.)

After I removed the register cover, I found this little slip of paper in the vent covered in dust bunnies. Who knows how many years it’s been there. Oh Amber, such violence!

That is so cool! And kinda grim at the same time… Love this post. I have some doodles on my doors left by the previous owners (their kids are older than me) that Ive been meaning to blog about. I almost don’t want to paint the doors for that reason!

Yes, you should blog about them! Maybe you could feature the doodles in some way without painting over them? Or maybe you could just take really good photos and frame them?

What are you going to do with Amber’s note?

Hmmm…. I don’t know! I guess it has to stay with the house. Frame it, maybe? That’s the easy answer. Got anything better?

I don’t know, I kind of think you should put it back in the vent for the next owners to find. But, I will be interested to see what you decide!

That’s a good idea! (And the easiest.) I could always get it back out again if I come up with a brilliant idea.
