Next up: This bedroom needs a refresh

February 22, 2012 by Erin Heaton

This bedroom needs a refreshExcuse the messy bed. There really is no way to make a duvet look neat, is there?

Are you ready for some decorating? I’ve been making so much stuff lately, I’m ready to move on to something different.

Our bedroom is in need of a little refresh. When we moved in, I painted and threw some stuff up on the walls. Over the years, I’ve added things one by one: the headboard, the nightstands, the curtains, the mid-century dresser. It has been the slowest decorating job ever.

What I want to do now is nothing drastic. All the furniture is staying and the color pallette is staying pretty much the same. I just want to pull everything together and make it look intentional. It’s missing that last 15%.

The short list? I’m going to be painting one wall, changing out the bedding and hanging up a whole lot of photos. I already decluttered a bunch (I cleaned up for you!), and I’m working out a couple of systems to keep things looking tidier. Let’s do this!
