Shady back porch flower pots

With our porch renovations going on, I haven’t given any attention to making it look pretty with potted flowers this year.

Instead, I put together a couple of pots for our small back porch. I’ve been trying to keep the back door open more, letting the light and views of the backyard in. In stark contrast to our front porch, this back area gets absolutely no sun, so I’m happy to use shade plants like impatiens and coleus for a change.

Now if the squirrels would just stop digging in the pots…
