Glass-topped end tables

March 15, 2010 by Erin Heaton

Before
I got some glass cut to fit the tops of our family room end tables, mainly to protect the wood. But I think the little bit of shine they bring also does the room good.
After
It would have been done a week sooner, but I fell prey to measure-twice/cut-twice. Luckily, the first cut was too big.
I can’t decide if I should put paper under the glass or leave the wood exposed. Here is the paper I would use. Any thoughts?

i like the wood – nice and simple. though the paper is lovely. maybe save it for something else?

Yeah, I think I’m going to live with the wood as is for a while, though the family room is screaming for some type of pattern. Maybe I need some new throw pillows…

erin – we can do some kind of trade, if you’d like. i made corded pillows for our new couch, and they turned out pretty well, i think. i could trade pillow labor for some other crafty labor. no pressure.
