Painting the dining room trim

July 29, 2011 by Erin Heaton

I’m in the middle of painting the dining room trim white. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do since we moved in, but never quite got around to it. It was previously painted off-white, but it looked more dingy and dirty than creamy. All of the trim in the rest of the house is bright white, and I wanted it to be consistent throughout.
You can see the difference in the photo. The window trim has been painted while the baseboard has not. It’s subtle, but overall it’s a much cleaner look and contrasts more with the dark coral-colored wall.
