Repainted circle plaque

As a birthday gift to my sister-in-law, Jill, I repainted this carved wooden plaque I found in the as-is section of Home Goods. She was in need of a piece of wall art for her bathroom and this large circle fit the bill.
Before
It wasn’t so bad the way it was, but it had a thin crack in it. After fixing that with wood filler, I knew I wouldn’t be able to match the dark brown stain.
No matter, her bathroom is shades of cream and pale yellow, so I painted to coordinate with the tile. And it was transformed! So simple, but I gave it a bazillion coats before I was satisfied with the color and the coverage. I tried to build up the paint thicker to make it look less mass-produced and I think with the visible brushstrokes, it worked.
